Neighbor Outreach
Neighbor Outreach (est. 2019): While accompanying his mom to work one day, Avi noticed a gentleman panhandling on the street corner and wanted to give the man a bottle of water. By the time he bought water and returned to the street corner, the man had left. As a family, we decided to stock up on snacks and hydration and hit the streets the next week. That 1 bottle of water has turned into over 12,000 bottles distributed and hygiene and essential supplies and so much more, 1 packed SUV trip at a time. Our main needs for this outreach includes: Hydration Station supplies; Hygiene products; and Hot meals. Your 2024 donations can always be found here. There are many ways to help. Rainy Day Fund
Rainy Day Fund: Often times people just need a little help and kindness. This fund will serve to fill in the gaps for those small specific needs such as a family that needs school supplies, an individual who needs a bus pass to get to a job interview or medical appointment, a newly sheltered neighbor who needs a microwave or bedding etc. There are many ways to help. Holiday Outreach
Holiday Outreach (est. 2015): As the holidays were approaching, 7 year old Ishaan wondered about the kids at the shelter who would not be able to decorate a Christmas tree of their own. He wanted to do something about it so we brainstormed as a family and decided to reach out to our local shelter to see if we could host a mini tree decorating event for families. We purchased mini trees so that each family could have a tree to decorate together and keep to brighten up their rooms for the holidays. In 2015, we hosted our first Build-A-Tree holiday event and have done it every year since. Last year we were made aware of a Jewish family residing at the shelter so we provided a menorah and giftbag for that family and thus expanded our event to “Build-A-Tree/Light-A-Menorah” project. We now provide tree or menorah care packages to our local shelter, seniors, and our unsheltered. There are many ways to help. Click the button below to donate
